Understanding the project
A government digital platform designed to connect Kenya’s software industry with opportunities, training, industry information and relevant policy resources.
What needed to change
Information and opportunities for software developers, organisations and other industry stakeholders were distributed across different channels. A central platform was needed to improve access, coordination and engagement.
How we approached it
I contributed to developing and deploying a scalable Django platform supported by PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery and containerised services. The work included application development, background processing, deployment automation, environment configuration and service integration.
What the project delivered
The project established the technical foundation for a central software-industry portal capable of bringing opportunities, resources and stakeholder services into one structured digital environment.
